The Weaverbird program and models and other papers you see on this web site were developed by Chris Britton. They are built on the experience gained from a lifetime working in IT.

Chris Britton

Chris is best known for his work on IT architecture and, in particular, his book IT Architecture and Middleware: Strategies for Building Large, Integrated Systems. He has been working in the IT industry since the late 1970s, mostly for Unisys. Originally he was an expert in MCP mainframes, and was the European support specialist on DMS II. Later he worked in programme management, consultancy, product strategy and marketing. He has been an independent consultant since 2001 though has spent most of his time developing WeaverBird.
